Mosa Industrial Corporation Stage 3 Project at its Huwei Site of the Central Taiwan Science Park

1. It is located in the Huwei part of the Central Taiwan Science Park (Specialized Land No. 6 in Huwei)
2. This regional development featured an absence of existing buildings in its surroundings, which makes the cut and cover approach quite applicable and hence it was adopted during construction according to the architect’s design.
3. New development areas were investigated for underground burials; there are no underground pipelines.
4. For this project, except for Stages 1 and 2 premises on its west, there were no buildings in the surroundings and hence no authentication of adjacent buildings was needed.

Project Overview：

1. Geology: The excavation range covered gravels mixed with brownish red sandy powder soil (backfill). In addition, as far as the groundwater level is concerned, the groundwater level at the site was approximately 4.6 meters to 5.3 meters beneath the surface.
2. Excavation Depth: GL - 1.45 meters (no water pumping is designed for the well point).
3. Technique: Cut and cover.
4. Structural System: Isolated foundation and raft foundation, reinforced concrete beam and column wall, SRC structure.
5. External Walls of the Warehouse and Recreational Center: 15*60 cm tiles along with coated aluminum plates.
